Whenever I think of trendy kitchen gadgets, I think of “Good Eats,” the Food Network show hosted by Alton Brown. Brown would often rail against “unitaskers,” or single-use devices that seem fun and useful for a moment, but then are relegated to a spot in your kitchen drawer. (Avocado slicer anyone?)
