Manifest kitchen magic like Jen with Canon PIXMA printers: https://ift.tt/3hE6PUl Sponsored by Canon Tomato & Roasted Garlic Tarts INGREDIENTS For the cashew cream: ¾ cup raw, unsalted cashews, soaked in water overnight 3 roasted garlic cloves (see steps below) 3 tbsp nutritional yeast or grated parmesan ¼ cup milk of your choice Salt to taste For the roasted garlic: 1 head of garlic Olive oil For the tart: 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed ¾ lb tomatoes, sliced Fresh thyme Kosher salt to taste Egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water) STEPS 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Make the roasted garlic: peel off the outer layers and slice off about ½ inch from the top. Place in a square of aluminum foil and drizzle generously with olive oil. Wrap to seal the garlic and place in the oven for about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside. 3. In a blender or food processor, add the cashew cream ingredients and blend until smooth. Set aside. 4. Slightly roll out puff pastry sheets to form a rectangle. Cut each sheet into 4 equal pieces and place on the prepared baking sheet. Use a paring knife to score a border ¼ inch from the edges of each rectangle. Do not slice all the way through. 5. Spread a thin layer of the cashew cream on each sheet within the borders. Arrange tomato slices and halved roasted garlic cloves to your liking. Brush the edges with egg wash and sprinkle the tarts with salt. 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Sprinkle with fresh thyme before serving.
