Follow Jen’s lead and make your own at home with Canon PIXMA printers: https://taste.md/2YwdNE1 Sponsored by Canon Subscribe to Jen on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/JustEatLifeTV DIY Magnetic Menu + Recipe Card Holder ITEMS NEEDED Canon PIXMA TS5320 Printer Canon Magnetic Photo Paper 3 wine corks Permanent craft adhesive glue Craft blade Magnet strips STEPS 1. Select and gather your favorite recipes and photos of those dishes. You may create a recipe card template on your own or input the recipes into a ready-made template. 2. Using the Canon PIXMA Printer and Canon Magnetic Photo Paper, print the photos, recipe cards, and days of the week. 3. Cut out the days of the week, and then arrange your preferred recipes picks on your refrigerator door. 4. To make the wine cork recipe card holder, glue 3 wine corks together and on top of magnet strips. Allow the glue to fully dry. Carefully use a blade to cut a groove across the corks and ¾ of the way from the top. Be sure not to cut all the way to the bottom. 5. Simply place a recipe card in the holder whenever cooking from the card! Chicken Satay Bowl INGREDIENTS For the chicken & marinade: 2 boneless skinless chicken thighs 2 tbsp curry powder ½ cup coconut milk 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice Salt and pepper to taste For the peanut sauce: 3 tbsp massaman curry paste ½ cup coconut milk 3 tbsp creamy peanut butter 2 tbsp sugar 2 tsp white vinegar 2 tbsp crushed peanuts ¼ cup water Salt to taste For the slaw: ¾ cup shredded red cabbage ¾ cup shredded green cabbage ¼ cup white vinegar Salt and pepper to taste For the cucumber salad: 1 cup sliced baby cucumbers 1 tbsp shallot, thinly sliced 2 bird’s eye chili, sliced ¼ cup white vinegar 1 tbsp sugar Salt to taste The rest: Oil for the pan Cooked brown rice Chopped fresh cilantro to garnish STEPS 1. Combine chicken and marinade ingredients and let sit for at least 20 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, combine peanut sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for about 5 minutes. Set aside. 3. Combine slaw ingredients in one bowl and the cucumber salad ingredients in another bowl. Set aside. 4. Add a drizzle of oil in a pan on medium heat and cook marinated chicken on both sides until browned and fully cooked. Then slice or dice the chicken to your preference. 5. Assembly: scoop cooked brown rice to a bowl, then arrange the chicken, slaw, and cucumber salad on top.
