This is SO easy. The best squash of my life. Hopefully the best squash of your life too!
1. Just get your hands on that beautiful bulbous butternut base.
1a. (Pull out the seeds and roast them in your preheating oven, why don't ya. Just sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and new bff Mrs. Dash.)
2. As I was trying to cut slices I failed miserably and cut a spiral, worked out fine! Place it on a baking dish that's been sprayed with oil.
3. Cover with the bottom half of the base like a lid - You have a tiny little mound of squah.
4. Spray it's surfaces inside and out with oil, and sprinkle liberally with the same seasoning you used on your seeds.
5. In the middle cavity, pour in a very generous glob or two of soy sauce, it's ok if it leaks out..
6. Place aluminum foil over the entire dish.
7. Bake at 375 until it starts to look melty, at least 15-20 minutes or so. Then remove the foil and really finish it off for a couple more minutes. The natural sweetness of the squash will blow you away. Promise.
