My favorite cookies, Nabisco Mallomars, have been around for 109 years (since 1913!)
A round graham cracker topped by a marshmallow and covered with dark chocolate. 18 cookies to a box! Hard not to eat them all at one time!
Before truck and grocery store refrigeration, Mallomars were only sold during the cooler months so that the chocolate wouldn't melt.
Even now, Mallomars are only available from September-May to maintain the tradition. But this has created a hoarding mentality by Mallomar enthusiasts.

Although manufactured in Canada, Mallomars are only available in the U.S.
Canadians have a similar cookie called, "Whippets."
95% of Mallomars are sold in the Northeast U.S., and the majority of those are sold in the NY/NJ/Connecticut tri-state area.
People stock up on boxes and freeze them to have during late Spring and Summer!
