I Made Khloé Kardashian's Fried Chicken
Julie makes and tastes Khloe's recipe for fried chicken. Find out if it's as good as the Kardashian's say it is. Ingredients— One 3 1/2 pound chicken, cut into thighs, drumsticks, wings and breast halves 2 cups buttermilk 1 tbsp kosher salt 1 1/2 tsp sweet paprika 1 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 1 cup all-purpose flour Vegetable Oil Steps— Combine the chicken pieces and buttermilk in a large freezer bag and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. Drain the chicken in a colander. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, paprika pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne. Sprinkle over the chicken, tossing to coat evenly. Put the flour in a paper bag. One at a time, shake the chicken in the flour to coat (shaking off excess flour), and then place on a large baking sheet. Let the chicken stand for 15 minutes to help set the coating. Place the oil into a 12” pot or deep skillet and heat to 360˚F. Add some of the chicken to the pot and ensure the oil temperature maintains 325˚F. Turn the chicken occasionally. Fry until golden and cooked through, 12-15 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a wire rack set over a rimmed baking sheet. Reheat oil to 360˚F and repeat with remaining chicken.
