Asian Beef


One of our favorite meals!

So delicious and flavorful!!!





Homemade Asian Sauce:



1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce

5 Tbs brown sugar

6 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 tsp ginger

2 tsp rice vinegar( I use red wine vinegar)





10 oz snow peas( I use frozen sugar snap) in the steamer bag

4 Tbs olive oil

10 oz mushrooms, sliced thinly

1 pound beef, thinly sliced sirloin steak strips( I use chuck steak )

2 cups cooked rice white or brown





Combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl , whisk to combine. Set aside.





I cook my steak in the crock pot on high for 2-3 hours till tender or low for 4-5 hours till tender.

Heat a large skillet until hot, add 2 tablespoons olive oil Immediately add thinly sliced mushrooms - cook them on high heat, turning occasionally, until they brown nicely. Salt them lightly midway through. While the mushrooms are cooking microwave your frozen peas as per package directions.

Add all of the cooked meat to the skillet. Add the snow peas and then the sauce. On high heat stir everything to combine, for about 1-2 minutes .

Serve over rice.
