Anthony Rocco DiGrazia’s grandmother was Slovene, but her new sisters-in-law made damn sure she could cook the Sicilian family recipes when she married in. “Rocco” learned the recipe by heart by the time he was ten. He serves five gallons of this sauce every day at his famous restaurant, Rocco’s Little Chicago.
I wrote a cookbook based on the movie Elf, and there is a famous scene in that movie where Buddy has a spaghetti dinner with his new biological family.
This seemed like the perfect opportunity to share Rocco’s family spaghetti recipe with the rest of the world, so I asked Rocco if I could reprint it in The Unofficial Elf Cookbook, and he graciously agreed. www.jackiealpers.com/elf-cookbook
