Sweet, light, and fluffy pumpkin pie with a flaky, buttery crust. Topped with whipped cream made with pumpkin spice extract and sprinkled with orange mallow bits.
Pumpkin puree, spices (ground cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves), and marshmallows were whisked together and cooked in a pot over the stove top until the marshmallows were completely melted. The mixture was then set aside to cool before it was combined with store-bought whipped topping and poured into a blind-baked homemade pie shell then refrigerated overnight.
