An Italian-American cake that consists of a layer of sweetened ricotta cheese, layers of chocolate cake, and a layer of fluffy chocolate pudding frosting. Garnished with a DOVE® milk chocolate heart.
Beverage: Latte macchiato sweetened with sugar and decorated with a cocoa heart. (Made with illy® Medium roast espresso and dusted with a Pernigotti cocoa powder.)

Betty Crocker™ SuperMoist™ butter recipe chocolate cake mix, brewed espresso (illy® Medium roast espresso), milk, unsalted butter, and eggs were mixed together and poured into a glass baking dish lined with parchment paper.
Ricotta cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract were blended together until smooth, then poured carefully and evenly over the chocolate cake batter. During the baking process the chocolate cake batter and ricotta cheese mixture switch places.
For the final layer, JELL-O™ instant chocolate pudding, milk, and Cool Whip© whipped topping were mixed together and spread evenly over the completely cooled cake. The cake was refrigerated overnight before it was sliced and served.
