Know what a wally is? It's London slang for dill pickle, gherkin, pickled cucumber. Derived from the Scottish term for a penis, or willy, as it is called in the UK, Scots call it a wally, because they are usually too drunk to speak properly.
As in, "Gis fifty pence wuth a chips and a piece a plaice. Oh and a cuppla wallies while ye're at it."
