Last week, here in Troy, New York, USA (and across much of the Eastern United States), we had 2 snow storms. Today--Monday, February 2, 2015, we are having a third, adding to the snow already on the ground. It snowed all day long. The good news is that it's beautiful, I don't need to do my own shoveling, now that I'm living in an apartment, nor do I need to get out, since I'm retired. The flip-side, though, is that I feel isolated. Today, I coped by cooking--homemade crockpot Beef Stew & Rosemary-Mozzarella Biscuits! Both turned out well & filled my home with a comforting fragrance. I am thankful for these homey blessings! I made the stew from scratch, but here's a link to the recipe for the biscuits:

The biscuits are light & airy. I substituted sour milk for buttermilk. The proportion is 1 T. vinegar to a cup of milk.
