I came across this vending machine, brand new to Toronto, underneath the city where the office workers congregate for lunch. Ahaha! I thought. The perfect cake for my birthday. Something super expensive and from the Cake Boss, whoever he is. Yup, I don’t watch the food channel.
Despite the hair-raising ingredient list and heart-stopping 1000+ calorie count for the whole slice (2 servings per slice, they saaayyyy), it was pretty friggin awesome. Fudgey icing, with the right amount of stick to your mouth. Not too sweet. The cake, the perfect airy textured foil to the icing. Pretty filling without feeling like one is about to barf from sugar overload. Saved some, cuz, really, I can’t eat that gigantic a slice, for tomorrow.
