Shortbread

Shortbread

Flower, Sugar, Butter and Cornstarch never tasted so good

Shortbread

2 cups all purpose flour
1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 pound butter softened
Pre-heat oven to 325
Mix the dry ingredients and than add the butter, cut in with a pastry fork until it's well blended. Do minimal mixing by hand.
Shape as desired (1/2 inch thick) and bake for about 30 minutes. Cut after baking 20 minutes if making sheets.
