When I saw a tweet early in the morning from Soma Chocolate as COVID-19 self-isolation was beginning to set in and I realized I hadn’t stocked up properly on chocolate, I immediately ordered. My chocolate series continues:
Ucayali River, Peru, 70% chocolate drops rich figs into your tastebuds, followed by je ne sais quoi. The tasting notes say mission figs, banana bread, orange blossom. Banana bread, the baking of the COVID-19 #StayHome time. No wonder this chocolate satisfies. A small bite, and you're feeling goooood.
Underneath the bar are my next two bars. I'm down to the award winners. Saving the best for last. Ucayali River won the Americas 2019 Silver Award in the International Chocolate Awards.
