Chocolate cake filled with dates and raisins.

Date and Raisin filling

3/4 cups chopped dates
½ cup chopped raisins
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Put the dates, raisins sugar and water in small sauce pan.
Cook over medium heat until thickened.
Remove from stove and cool before adding lemon juice.
Enough filling for a layer cake or a 9" x 13” cake pan.
