This drink is based on the original Last Word Chartreuse. Lawrence O’Connell hosts a very thoughtful news show on MNNBC called the Last Word. I’m dedicating this drink to him and his charitable works. Like Lawrence this is a very like-able drink as you can see in model Laura Conely’s dreamy eyes. My Mixology is now done, so this is my last cocktail post for awhile.
Fill a shaker half full of ice. Add in:
1 oz. Chartreuse
½ oz. gin
½ oz. cherry herring liqueur
¼ oz. lime cordial or Roses Lime.
Vigorously shake and pour into martini glass.
Garnish with 2 drunken cherries and twist of lime.
