Cajun Blackened Chicken !

This is what I make with the combination of spices I posted yesterday!

This is a favorite dinner meal very easy with lots of flavor we enjoy it with fire roasted corn and green beans.

So Delicious!

1 tsp smoked paprika

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp cayenne pepper( more or less if you don't like to much heat)

¼ tsp dried thyme

¼ tsp dried basil

½ tsp dried oregano

½ tsp ground black pepper

¼ tsp onion powder

½ tsp garlic powder

2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (pounded thin)

1 Tbs olive oil

In a small bowl, stir together the first 9 ingredients. Spray both sides of the chicken breasts with cooking spray. Then sprinkle the seasoning over both sides of each chicken breast.

In a large skillet over medium/high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts. Cover and cook the chicken breasts for about 10 minutes on each side.

Notes….After the chicken has finished cooking uncover turn up heat and let blacken more to your liking.

If you don't like the heat from cayenne pepper just leave it out its still delicious.

I would double the spices if you make more then Two Chicken breasts.
