a.k.a. Christstollen, Weihnachtsstollen, and Winserbrott



The stollen originates from Germany and is traditionally served around the winter and Christmas holiday season.



This dense, yeast-leavened sweet loaf has a light rum flavoring and is studded with raisins, sultanas, chopped blanched almonds, chopped candied peels (citron, lemon, and orange), and orange zest.



After the stollen had finished baking it recieved multiple coatings of melted unsalted butter and powdered sugar.



Beverage: Celestial Seasonings’ ‘Nutcracker Sweet' black tea sweetened with sugar.
